Oh the Barristers

First day of class today....not really in the mood to learn though! : )

We were assigned about 150 pages of reading for tonight, along with required attendance of a moot court competition and dinner afterwards. Geez!

The moot court competition was great; all barristers and barrister students have to wear robes, and they all complained that they were scorching hot! I, of course, was cold in the great hall, so a cloak would have been okay with me!

Dinner was in the Great Hall at the Gray's Inn: Queen Elizabeth I entertained her court there and Shakespeare even performed there. It was beautiful and very historic. Dinner was good, and the wine was flowing. I was sitting at what had to be the "party table" because they drank ALOT of wine! Don't worry, Mom & Dad, I kept it to a minimum and didn't make a fool of myself!

Now at home, and reading pages upon pages of the same stuff - this legal mumbojumbo could literally be summed up in 20 pages!

Also, congratulations to my sweet little bro for graduating this past weekend and Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother!
